Euroleague spectacle in Sarajevo spiced up by a hundred points from Dubai with a great performance by Musa

(Patria) - The basketball players of Dubai defeated Baskonia 100:94 tonight in the packed Zetra hall in Sarajevo, in a 31st-round Euroleague game.

The atmosphere in Zetra was great, and the audience in Sarajevo had a rare opportunity to watch a Euroleague game live again after more than two decades.

The Dubai team, which includes BiH national team players Džanan Musa, Kenan Kamenjaš, and Kosta Kondić, set the pace from the very beginning and controlled the match.

After only five minutes of play, the home team had a double-digit lead, with Bacon, Kabengele, and Musa being the most effective. The first quarter ended with a score of 29:21 in favor of Dubai.



In the second quarter, the home team continued with good play. Musa was particularly effective, scoring 12 points by halftime. Dubai went into halftime with a comfortable 59:45 lead.

In the second half, Baskonia played a bit better. The guests from Spain, who are in 18th place in the Euroleague with nine wins, managed to reduce the deficit to nine points midway through the third quarter.

However, Dubai quickly responded with another run, pulled away again to a double-digit lead, and had complete control of the game before the final quarter.

Three minutes before the end, the home team's lead grew to as much as 20 points. Baskonia then went on a 10:0 run, introducing a degree of uncertainty.



But there wasn't enough time for a complete comeback, so Dubai ultimately secured a 100:94 victory.

The most effective player for the winning team was Bacon with 23 points, while Kabengele added 17.

Musa once again had a very notable performance. He spent a little over 23 minutes on the court and finished the game with 17 points, seven rebounds, and three assists.

For Baskonia, Diakite was the most effective with 27 points, while Omoruyi scored 18.

Dubai will play their next game in Zetra again, but in the ABA League, when they will host Crvena zvezda on March 15.
