Elvedina Muzaferija finishes first training in St. Anton, two races this weekend

(Patria) - The first Audi FIS Ski World Cup downhill race for women in the speed disciplines in 2025 will be held on Saturday, January 11th in St. Anton.

One of the prerequisites for its organization has been met today, after the registered competitors, 53 of them, participated in the first official training.

Among the world's best skiers, who have gathered in Austria, is the only representative from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elvedina Muzaferija.

She took this opportunity to get acquainted with the "Karl Schranz" slope and to prepare as best as possible for the races ahead of her this weekend. Muzaferija started with bib number 28, and completed the course with a time of 1:31.87, which was the 33rd time of today's downhill training.

The second official downhill training in St. Anton is scheduled for tomorrow, however, its holding is questionable due to weather conditions and high temperatures, due to which the conditions on the slope were not ideal even today.

We remind you that the current season opened with a downhill competition in Beaver Creek, USA on December 14th, in which Muzaferija took 25th place and, for the first time in the history of Bosnian and Herzegovinian skiing, scored points in the first race of the season.

In the FIS calendar, a Super-G race is scheduled for Sunday, January 12th, in which Muzaferija will seek her first points in the discipline.
