Elvedina Muzaferija honing her form in Italy ahead of World Cup Finals

(Patria) - The Audi FIS Ski World Cup Finals, gathering the world's best alpine ski racers, will be held in Saalbach, Austria, from March 16 to 24.

First in the race for the small and big crystal globes are the giant slalom and slalom skiers, whose races are scheduled for Saturday, March 16, and the following day.

Bosnia and Herzegovina's top female alpine skier, Elvedina Muzaferija, unlike the competitors in the technical disciplines, still has time to prepare as best as possible for her first, historic start in the World Cup Finals.

The twenty-four-year-old from Visoko is honing her excellent form in Italy, at her last camp before the official downhill training sessions on March 20 and 21 in Saalbach, followed by her Super-G appearance scheduled for Friday, March 22, and the downhill race on March 23.

"I feel very good, I'm skiing well, I'm fast, I'm confident on my skis, and I'm looking forward to the last race in Saalbach.

I hope there will be many of you cheering for me at the finish line or in front of your screens," said Muzaferija, who qualified for the World Cup Finals with an equal 23rd place finish in both disciplines.

She has been the most successful representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina in FIS World Cup competitions since 2017, and has just completed her best season to date.

She reached a total of 151 cup points by surpassing her own results and simultaneously writing the annals of Bosnian and Herzegovinian skiing.

Muzaferija will have the opportunity to push the boundaries of domestic skiing again next week, starting with her starting number to her split times in the last World Cup races of the season.
