(Patria) - In the first downhill race of the new Audi FIS World Cup season, held today in St. Moritz, forty-one-year-old Lindsey Vonn achieved a great victory with a time of 1:29.63. Behind the experienced American, Magdalena Egger and Mirjam Puchner from Austria took the podium.
Elvedina Muzaferija, the best Bosnian and Herzegovinian alpine skier, did not score desired points today. With start number 43, she crossed the finish line in 39th place with a time of 1:33.61, which was ultimately enough for 49th place. She had the biggest deficit compared to the leading Vonn in the third sector, where she lost the most time compared to the competition.
Muzaferija will have another opportunity in the Swiss St. Moritz tomorrow, where the second downhill race will be held starting at 10:45 AM. On Sunday, December 14th, she is also expected to compete in the opening Super-G race, also starting at 10:45 AM.
