Elvedina Muzaferija wins silver in France

(Patria) - Bosnia and Herzegovina's best alpine skier Elvedina Muzaferija competed today in the downhill discipline at the elite alpine skiing competition "112 eme Chp de France Elite Trophee Caisse d'Epargne" in Méribel, France, and won the silver medal with a time of 1:15.86.

Romane Miradoli was 53 hundredths of a second faster than Muzaferija, while Laura Gauche placed third, 61 hundredths of a second behind. These are skiers who know each other extremely well and compete successfully in FIS World Cup races. In today's competition, alongside the 25-year-old from Visoko, Arielle Desrosiers from Canada and Cande Moreno from Andorra, who did not finish their runs, another 23 skiers from France competed.

After the FIS World Cup and FIS Europa Cup, Elvedina Muzaferija continued competing in France, where she will race for the next three days. The goal is to win medals and FIS points that will bring her a better ranking in the upcoming season and at the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympic Games, for which she fulfilled the A standard already in the 2023/2024 competition period.

Starting at 9:15 AM tomorrow, the Championnat de France 2025 will be held in Méribel in the women's downhill discipline, while Super-G races are scheduled for April 3 and 4.
