(Patria) - In Meribel, France, from March 31 to April 6, a series of FIS competitions in alpine disciplines for men and women is taking place, and one of the rare flags flying is the flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina, under which the best Bosnian alpine skier Elvedina Muzaferija competes.
After competing yesterday in the elite event “112 eme Chp de France Elite Trophee Caisse d'Epargne” in the downhill discipline and winning a silver medal, she shone again in the Championship de Monaco race.
Muzaferija reached second place in the downhill race of the Monaco National Championship with a time of 1:16.40, while yesterday's winner Roname Miradoli was faster for first place by one second and 24 hundredths. Third place was taken by Kamil Ceruti, while Laura Gauhe, who was third yesterday, took sixth place today.
"These were two quality competitions with skiers I know well from the FIS World Cup, for whom national competitions are very important. Due to a change in the competition schedule, tomorrow is a rest day, and on Friday there is a Super-G race for the Championship de France 2025," Muzaferija stated.
In the French National Championship for women in the Super-G discipline on Friday, April 4, 37 skiers will compete, 32 from France, two from Canada, and one each from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belgium, and Andorra.
