Efendić: A new BiH flag will be placed on Jahorina, and a criminal complaint will be filed against Elek

(Patria) - Mayor of Novi Grad Municipality Semir Efendić reacted after RS authorities stated that the BiH flag was removed from the Košuta peak on Jahorina, which belongs to FBiH. He announced that a new BiH flag will be placed.

"A day after the flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina was placed on the Jahorina peak of Košuta, it was damaged. To make matters worse, the authorities of the RS entity are behind this move, even though the flag is not located in the territory of that entity, but deep within the municipality of Trnovo in the Federation of BiH. The flag will, of course, be returned, and a criminal complaint will be filed against Nedeljko Elek for the criminal offense of damaging and stealing someone else's property.

The removal of the flag was publicly supported by the President of the Supervisory Board of the Jahorina ski center, Nedeljko Elek, and the Mayor of East Sarajevo, Ljubiša Ćosić, who spread falsehoods that this is RS territory and absurdities that only the flag of Republika Srpska, Nemanjić symbols, etc., can be on Jahorina," Efendić stated in his post.

Efendić also published a copy of the cadastral map, which clearly shows that part of Jahorina territorially belongs to the Municipality of Trnovo.
