Edin Džeko in his city: Goodbye Sarajevo, thank you for coming

(Patria) - As completely expected, the biggest ovations were received by captain Edin Džeko and coach Sergej Barbarez. Edin Džeko's address from the Eternal Flame balcony was accompanied by a flare display from his teammates.

Coach Sergej Barbarez also addressed the crowd and thanked them for their support.

"Thank you for this tonight. These guys can receive all the compliments, they pushed through all of this," said Barbarez, who then handed the microphone to Edin Džeko.

Captain Edin Džeko, despite being in pain due to a shoulder injury, honored his hometown and all the people who came to celebrate the new success of the BiH national team.

"Goodbye Sarajevo. They say he's a poker player, huh (hugged Barbarez, ed.)? And how the poker player bluffed them? What can I say, what message can I send? This is how we were 12 years ago. Thank you for coming. Thanks to these wonderful guys who took us to the World Cup, thanks to Sergej Barbarez, Emir Spahić, and all the associates who brought so many young, quality players," said Džeko.

The celebration continued with Halid Bešlić's songs "I will remember you my whole life," "Ljiljani."

And Sarajevo cried, sang, and celebrated the success of the Dragons.
