(Patria) - BiH's top tennis player Damir Džumhur (ATP 56) successfully started his campaign at the Cincinnati Masters, defeating Italy's Mattia Bellucci 2-0 in sets.
Both sets were decided in a tie-break, which speaks to the great battle on the court. The match lasted almost two and a half hours.
In the next round, Džumhur faces an extremely difficult task - a duel with the world's second-ranked tennis player, Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz.
The two recently met at Roland Garros, where Džumhur put up a strong fight but was defeated 3-1.
The Džumhur - Alcaraz match is scheduled for tomorrow evening, but the exact time has not yet been confirmed.
