Džumhur into the second round of the Australian Open, sent Canadian Draxl home 'with a broom'

(Patria) - The best Bosnian-Herzegovinian tennis player Damir Džumhur defeated Canadian Liam Draxl 3-0 in the first round of the Australian Open.

He played a great match and thrashed Draxl in just over two hours. The Canadian offered strong resistance in the first set, but Džumhur managed to win 7:5 in one hour and 13 minutes of play to take a 1-0 lead.

This clearly had a negative impact on his opponent, who then experienced a significant drop in his game. Džumhur won the second set 6:0, writes Faktor.

The Canadian improved his game in the third set, but not enough against a confident Džumhur, who won that set too (6:4) after 39 minutes of play and convincingly advanced to the second round with a 3-0 victory.

There, he will face Argentinian Francisco Cerúndolo, who is the 18th seed in the Melbourne tournament.
