Džumhur makes a big comeback in Miami and sets up a spectacle against Sinner

(Patria) - The best BH tennis player Damir Džumhur achieved a great victory after a comeback against Ignacio Buse and qualified for the second round of the Miami Open.

Džumhur won with a score of 2:1 in sets (6:7, 7:6, 6:1) after two hours and 38 minutes of play in one of the most exciting matches of the first round.

Buse took the lead, Džumhur responded when it was toughest

The Peruvian tennis player, currently the 63rd player in the world, was the first to break in the third game of the first set and controlled the score for a long time. However, the player from Sarajevo showed character and broke back in the tenth game, sending the first set to a tie-break.

There, Buse had a big lead (6:2), but Džumhur came back and reached 6:6. However, Buse managed to maintain his composure and won the tie-break 8:6 for a 1:0 lead in sets.

The second set did not see a single break and was again decided by a tie-break. This time, the pressure was even greater as Ignacio Buse reached match point at 6:5.

However, Damir Džumhur then won three consecutive points, won the tie-break, and took the match to the third set.

Experience decided the final set

There was no more doubt in the third set. Džumhur played more confidently, controlled the rallies, and with two breaks, completely broke down his opponent's resistance, winning the set 6:1 and securing his place in the next round.

In the second round, Damir Džumhur faces a big challenge against the second-best player in the world, Jannik Sinner, who comes to Miami after winning the BNP Paribas Open.

If Džumhur repeats the fighting spirit from this match, another real tennis spectacle awaits the audience in Miami.
