Edin Džeko attended his first training session at Schalke today, after officially becoming the new player of this German club yesterday, arriving from Fiorentina.
At the training session at their facility, the Schalke team prepared an unusual welcome for the Diamond.
Teammates formed a corridor through which Džeko had to run, and on both sides, they "hit" him as part of a traditional way to wish a newcomer good luck.
Džeko went through it all with a smile, and the atmosphere among the players, leaders of the German second division, was relaxed and cheerful.
We remind you that Džeko is expected to debut for Schalke on Sunday, when his team hosts Kaiserslautern at home at 1:30 PM.
