(Patria) - Taekwondo representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina Džejla Makaš was stopped a step away from
the first, historical, senior medal for Bosnian-Herzegovinian taekwondo at world championships.

After successfully completing the introductory fights, the BiH representative and member of TKD Novi Grad Sarajevo was defeated in the quarterfinals by China's Shiyi Wang with a score of 2:1.

The representative of our country entered the fight excellently, leading 1:0 after the first round, but in the continuation of the match, the Chinese competitor was the better rival.

Our best taekwondo athlete Nedžad Husić also competed at the Taekwondo World Championship today. The owner of the best Olympic result in the history of our country successfully returned to competitions after a serious knee ligament injury. He successfully completed the first fight against the representative of Nepal, but was later defeated by the representative of Chile.

Another BiH representative Erol Nući, a member of Taekwondo Club Mladost, was defeated yesterday in the first round of the World Taekwondo Championship in the category up to 87 kilograms. The representative of Azerbaijan Eltaj Gafarov was better than him, winning 2:0 (5:2, 2:0).

Tomorrow, on the fifth day of competition at the World Championship, our country will be represented by Nadina Mehmedović (TK Academy Tešanj) and Muhamed Đonko (TKD Mladost Sarajevo).
