(Patria) - Football club Al-Ain from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) today presented seven new footballers, and among them is a name that previously played at Grbavica.
Davud Alibašić, a young forward who played for the cadets and juniors of the club from Grbavica, has become a new player for the team from Abu Dhabi.
This is the best and most decorated club in the UAE, which is so far the first and only team from that country to have won the AFC Champions League.
In addition to the 19-year-old Alibašić, a former youth player of Željezničar, Jonas Naafo, Yusuf Hope, Marcos and Marcelo Ferreira, Joao Marcos, and Khauan Schlickmann have also signed for Al-Ain.
Al-Ain presented them as future stars and stated that they will be registered for the U-23 team led by Italian coach Marreo Lombardo.
Davud plays as a central forward, a position for which he went through all categories of the youth academy of Sarajevo's Željezničar.
According to media reports in the UAE, Željezničar should receive a million-dollar training compensation after this transfer.
