(Patria) - Novak Djokovic took to Instagram to congratulate Bosnia and Herzegovina on qualifying for the World Cup playoff final.
Djokovic is currently in Serbia and is following sports events in his country and the region.
He showed that he had not missed the success of the BiH national team via social media, where he sent congratulations to the entire team, and especially to Edin Dzeko.
The Dragons' captain continued his impressive streak against Wales, scoring a goal that extended his incredible run – a goal in every year since 2007.
Djokovic shared a post referring to that feat, once again confirming the greatness of Dzeko's achievement.
"Bravo Edin! Bravo BiH", Djokovic wrote along with diamond, strength, and applause emojis.
Dzeko's continuity of scoring goals from 2007 to 2026 without interruption places him among the most consistent strikers of the modern era, and this data gains even more weight when playing for the national team.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina national team is now one step away from qualifying for the World Cup. They have a decisive match against Italy on Tuesday.
After the support they received, including from Novak Djokovic, it is clear that the Dragons have great support from the region, and it remains to be seen whether they will crown it with a new historic success.
