(Patria) - Dinamo Zagreb are the new champions of Croatia in football.

The Zagreb team has won the 26th national championship title in their history even before stepping onto the pitch tonight against Varaždin.

Rijeka and Hajduk's draw (0:0) worked in their favor, leaving the Split team 12 points behind them, and due to a worse head-to-head record, they can no longer catch up.

The trophy thus returns to Maksimir, and the championship title brings the Blues not only sporting prestige but also the largest share of the financial pie from television rights.

The distribution of money is based on the TV rights contract signed in 2022, with a total value of 44 million euros. As the champion of Croatia, Dinamo will receive the largest amount of 1.23 million euros.

The second-placed team in the HNL, which will very likely be Hajduk, will receive 1.14 million euros, while the club finishing in third place gets 1.05 million euros. The fourth-placed team follows with 995,421 euros, and the fifth-placed with 862,698 euros.

The money will be further distributed so that the sixth-placed club receives 862,698 euros, the seventh-placed 825,536 euros, and the eighth-placed 780,410 euros. The ninth-placed club is entitled to 729,975 euros.

Interestingly, the tenth-placed club, which is relegated from the league, will earn more than the ninth-placed one. It receives a total of 777,755 euros, consisting of a base amount of 645,032 euros and an additional 132,723 euros allocated for relegation.
