Foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina amounted to KM 17.21 billion at the end of November 2024

(Patria) - Foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBiH) at the end of November 2024 amounted to KM 17.21 billion, an increase of KM 1.52 billion (9.7 percent) on an annual basis.

According to CBBiH data on monetary movements, total loans to domestic sectors at the end of November 2024 amounted to KM 25.58 billion, with an increase of KM 206.6 million (0.8 percent) compared to the previous month.

Credit growth was recorded in all sectors: households by KM 72.4 million (0.6 percent), private enterprises by KM 73.2 million (0.7 percent), government institutions by KM 20.1 million (1.6 percent), non-financial public enterprises by KM 16.2 million (2.9 percent), and other domestic sectors by KM 24.8 million (9.2 percent).

The annual growth rate of total loans in November was 9.8 percent, nominally KM 2.28 billion. Annual loan growth was recorded in the household sector by KM 1.07 billion (9.1 percent), private enterprises by KM 967.4 million (10.1 percent), government institutions by KM 190.5 million (17.4 percent), and other domestic sectors by KM 76.1 million (34.7 percent). A decrease in credit growth on an annual basis was recorded in non-financial public enterprises by KM 26.3 million (4.4 percent).

Total deposits of domestic sectors at the end of November 2024 amounted to KM 33.26 billion, an increase of KM 234.9 million (0.7 percent) compared to the previous month.

Monthly deposit growth was recorded in the household sector by KM 130 million (0.8 percent), private enterprises by KM 126.1 million (1.6 percent), government institutions by KM 5.7 million (0.1 percent), and other domestic sectors by KM 19.9 million (one percent). Deposits decreased on a monthly basis in non-financial public enterprises by KM 46.7 million (2.3 percent).

The annual growth rate of total deposits in November 2024 was 7.5 percent, which in absolute terms amounts to KM 2.33 billion. Annual deposit growth was recorded in the household sector by KM 1.56 billion (ten percent), private enterprises by KM 867.3 million (12.3 percent), non-financial public enterprises by KM 25.8 million (1.3 percent), and other domestic sectors by KM 129.9 million (7.2 percent). Deposits decreased on an annual basis in government institutions by KM 260.4 million (5.8 percent).
