Danes break dangerous Swedes by a single goal and secure semifinal spot in Olympic handball tournament

(Patria) - Denmark's handball team are the third semifinalists of the Paris Olympic Games after defeating Sweden 32:31.

The Danes held a four-goal lead several times during the first half, before Sweden turned the game around with a goal by Klar at the very end of the half (14:15).

In the second half, a fierce battle ensued, and with 10 minutes left to play, the score was 28:28.

In the final minute and a half, things started to get complicated. Klar first reduced the deficit to 32:31, then Mikkel Hansen hit the crossbar from the six-meter line.

Simon Pytlick scored nine goals for Denmark, while Felix Klar had the best performance for the Swedes with seven goals.

The Danes will face the winner of the match between Norway and Slovenia in the semifinals.
