(Patria) - The President of HDZ BiH gave a speech at today's 20th General Assembly of HDZ. He announced that Wednesday, April 17, when Croatian elections are held, will be a non-working day in BiH as well.
“A message to everyone who thought that election activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina might not be organized on the 16th and 17th because they have predominantly been organized through school institutions so far, that was the only possibility. Well, here is the answer to you and all those who are listening, and to them too. It will be a non-working day for us, just like for you. Only for us it will be a celebration,” said Čović, receiving a big ovation from HDZ members.
“For us, it will truly be a celebration, a two-day celebration. For those who don't know, we planned to open the economic fair in Mostar on April 16th, and this year's partner country is Croatia. It is the jubilee 25th fair, so it was fitting. The Prime Minister planned to come on the evening of the 15th with other prime ministers from the region, and open the fair on the 16th.
I am sure that these dates will not disrupt this in any way, and that we will gather there to send a message on behalf of all Croats living in BiH – there are no illusions and no room for appeasing the Croats of BiH,” he said.
“To all those who believed that we would somehow divide ourselves for these elections, the message is clear, and I have stated it in a few words. We will organize ourselves as we have organized ourselves for the last 30 years, from the Homeland War until today. That is why I thank you, dear friend, dear Andrej,” he said.
