Čović and Croatian politics as a whole offer BiH an olive branch soaked in poison

(Patria) - At this moment, it is probably difficult to find a person in BiH, whether politically aware or an ordinary citizen, who does not feel that this crisis in our country is extreme and difficult in almost all elements.

This was stated in an interview for the News Agency Patria (NAP) by the president of the Association of Independent Intellectuals Krug 99, Adil Kulenović.

According to him, the crisis in BiH is difficult in terms of the constitutional and legal preservation of the state, but also in the context of attacks on its economic and financial system due to the "Viaduct" affair.

An even bigger problem, which is only beginning to be sensed, thanks to the machinations of SNSD cadres and Milorad Dodik in BiH institutions, is the collection of a debt exceeding two billion KM.

- And the third aspect is security, because it has been shown that state institutions are unfortunately not stable and do not have the capacity to act to stop someone who is undeniably undermining the constitutional-legal, as well as the financial order of the state of BiH.

And the ultimate goal of all this is outlined at the "all-Serbian assembly", or in what implies the creation of a Greater Serbia, whatever they call it - points out Kulenović.

He assesses that the primary political issue is the resistance of state-building political forces, regardless of whether they are in power or in opposition - how to stop this and preserve peace and security in BiH.

- Both the first and second aspects are, in a way, in the focus of our political public, and answers are sought for them, more or less ineffectively. But when it comes to the third aspect, it seems that not only political forces, but also the majority of the people are trying to bury their heads in the sand and not objectively assess the situation in which BiH finds itself today - adds Kulenović.

He points out that today the whole of Europe is trembling from the new world order and the consequences that may follow for its security, and the possible repercussions for our region are particularly worrying.

- I am convinced that, in the event of a disruption of these international security relations and conditions in Europe, it will undoubtedly be reflected in the region. And we have more than enough experience with the region, which requires the utmost caution and suspicion.

I do not believe that any potential rearrangement of the European space, and at the same time the world, would bypass BiH and the old aspirations and ambitions of its neighbors towards it.

And one of the biggest dangers to BiH, besides the policy of the President of RS, Milorad Dodik, is certainly the leader of HDZ, Dragan Čović, and Croatian politics as a whole, who offer Bosnia and Herzegovina an olive branch soaked in poison - warns Kulenović.

In this context, all citizens of BiH must be required to avoid the old mercy-based approach that we will overcome all crises and problems thanks to our kindness and goodness, but rather to demand that they confront the real political situation.

And that, points out Kulenović, implies decisiveness and the importance of the civic, popular will in order to prevent the repetition of history under any circumstances, and especially in these real political circumstances that are looming.

- We, as Krug 99, intend to truly address the issue of security for the entire country of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and especially for those parts of it that will be under attack because they are marked by their Bosniak identity.


Kulenović: Increase the level of preparedness

Therefore, we believe that prevention is the only action that can be taken at this moment, in such a way that, on the one hand, the people are confronted with the facts, and on the other hand, that state-building political forces, whether in power or in opposition, move much more decisively towards building a rational system of precaution for the times ahead.

We see that some cantons are already making some, albeit small, progress, because these days a police exercise is being held in Bihać, in which the Ministries of Internal Affairs of USC, Sarajevo Canton, and Canton 10 are participating. We believe that similar activities will continue.

But above all, we need to build a system of education, information, and public awareness about possible dangers and how to face and organize ourselves against the most elementary dangers, which are not only war-related, but also related to all emergencies - from floods, fires, and so on - points out Kulenović.

He emphasizes that the issue of organization is paramount, because - if you are well organized, then you can expect fruitful action. And that means training civil protection, not only as institutions of municipalities and cantons, but from the basic cells of society - the family, through the local community...

- In this context, the educational system in BiH must make a special contribution, which must focus on creating curricula and programs aimed at training young people to act in all crisis and emergency situations.

And the reason for this is that no one else will help us if we do not help ourselves. Therefore, we must organize ourselves as a state-building oriented society.

This is not militarization, but a lesson learned from the experience of those who have experienced genocide and a joint criminal enterprise. We must not allow ourselves to be in a situation again where columns obediently go to slaughter and destruction - notes Kulenović.

He points out that the real political situation in BiH requires the highest level of preparedness from us. Our interlocutor therefore advocates for the development of a preparedness system, similar to those in the Nordic countries, the United Kingdom, France...

- No one can accuse us of, God forbid, wishing for war and armed conflicts, but no one can deny us the elementary natural right of every human being to resist the forces that intend to destroy him - concludes Kulenović in an interview with NAP.
