The price of Konaković's games has always been paid by the citizens!

With a final court decision, the Sarajevo Canton Health Insurance Fund (ZZO KS) must pay former director Kenan Crnkić compensation in the amount of 103,725 KM because there was no legal basis for his dismissal, the epilogue of the "fight against corruption" of the "most honest" and "bravest" among Bosniaks, Elmedin Konaković.



The then Prime Minister of the KS Government, Elmedin Konaković, announced the dismissal of director Crnkić with great fanfare, publicly presented "information" about his illegal work, and cited it as the basis for his dismissal before the end of his term, just as he announced last year that we were closer than ever to the European Union.

Therefore, Konaković announced changes in KS management, transparency and fairness in decision-making, the fight against corruption and partocracy ten years ago with sensationalism, all to justify his absurd, populist, and illegal decisions. In order to gain public support for breaking the law, he developed the thesis that the people were more important to him than the party and party bosses, which we cannot see in his current relationship with Dodik and Čović.

Ten years later, the financial consequences of his populist spin-governance are coming due. Of course, he will not bear the consequences, nor will the court hold him accountable.

The compensation to former director Crnkić will be paid by ZZO KS, i.e., the citizens of KS who fund this Fund with their contributions. Thus, citizens' money intended for the health protection of insured persons, due to Konaković's arrogant and illegal decisions, will be used to pay court judgments instead of for health protection.

And how many more such illegal decisions have been made, which have jeopardized the labor rights of individuals, during his prime ministerial term or during the term of the Trojka, believe me, no one knows anymore because breaking the law has become a rule of political action for them. That's probably why they chose coalition partners similar to themselves, like the "reformed" and "European" Milorad Dodik. It is not said in vain "you are like the company you keep"!

I will remind the public of another similar case, also from 2015, when the director of the Public Institution Elementary School "Saburina" Sarajevo was dismissed. Probably, educators will remember that case, when the then Prime Minister Konaković, meddling like Vegeta in everything, and mostly illegally, insisted on the dismissal of the then school director Rešad Fočo.

Konaković also tendentiously presented information about "illegality" at that time and that because of it, this school had its seal confiscated. He intensified tensions by saying that he personally contacted and involved the then Chief Prosecutor of KS, Dalida Burzić, in the "case," and that he would resolve the case very quickly and, of course, legally, because he didn't call the chief prosecutor for nothing.

In this case as well, as with the dismissed director of ZZO KS Crnkić, after several years of court proceedings, the epilogue is the same. The court determined that an illegal decision was made regarding the dismissal of the director, and in this case too, compensation to former director Fočo was paid from the budget of Sarajevo Canton.


With his appearance on the political scene, Sarajevo Canton experienced the peak of legal insecurity, political destabilization, and financial difficulties. Simply put, he subordinated the entire system to his personal interests and the interests of his narrow clientelistic camarilla.

He consciously undermines institutions and destabilizes the system, leaving legal chaos and debts, which are dealt with and paid by other people years later. And he just jumps further, to some other position, where he continues to sell his standard spin-fog about justice and honesty.

And now this man is in the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH, into which he was installed by Milorad Dodik and Dragan Čović. Today, the stakes he is playing with are much higher than ever, because today he is gambling with the state and our future!

Today, he is bothered that Dževad Mahmutović did not vote in the Council of Peoples of RS to initiate vital national interest due to four laws passed in the National Assembly of RS and thus avoided further obstruction before the institutions of RS, shortened the suffering of the BiH public, and accelerated the path to the decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH.

Had Konaković been able to vote, today, instead of the temporary measure by which the Constitutional Court of BiH suspended Dodik's laws, we would have those laws in force and endless uncertainty about how all this will end.
In this case too, Konaković showed his lavish legal-political dilettantism, an amateur mistake in steps, which in the case of Crnkić and Fočo will be paid for with citizens' money, and in this case, we could have paid for it with further agony of uncertainty – what tomorrow brings? - and ultimately with lives.

After all, I think it is high time we asked ourselves: Are there any consequences in our society for continuously deceiving the public or for making illegal decisions based on disseminated lies?

And before we answer that question, let's be aware that if there are no consequences for those who do it, then the consequences will be billed to all of us, just like in these cases of former directors Crnkić and Fočo. I'm just afraid that, as a nation, we are not at all ready to pay the bills for Konaković's political games with Dodik and Čović. This current political crisis clearly shows us that!

Therefore, may dear Allah help us, because we have fallen to the point where the future of the state depends on a purveyor of fog, who has brought this nation into its most difficult position ever with his hollow stories and absurd ideas!
