(Patria) - Chelsea dominated Paris Saint-Germain with a 3-0 victory, thus winning the Club World Cup title in the final played at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The English team settled the score in the first half, while PSG had no strength or response to the furious offense of the "Blues".
The hero of the match was Cole Palmer, who scored two goals and provided an assist. In the 22nd minute, he gave Chelsea the lead after an assist from Mala Gusto, and in the 30th minute, he found the net again, this time from a pass from Levi Colwill. By the end of the first half, Palmer had become the main director of another goal, assisting João Pedro for a commanding 3-0 lead in the 43rd minute.

The Parisians appeared completely helpless – the midfield led by Vitinha was neutralized, while forwards Dembélé, Kvaratskhelia, and Due were left without concrete chances. Coach Luis Enrique made no substitutions in the first half, and his team made too many passing errors and was completely outplayed in all aspects of the game.
PSG's best chance came from João Neves in first-half stoppage time, but his shot was brilliantly saved by Robert Sánchez, who made several crucial interventions during the match. In the second half, Ousmane Dembélé tried his luck, but the Spanish goalkeeper did not concede.
In the second half, Chelsea maintained a high tempo and control. They did not score any more goals by the end of the match but saw out the game without major difficulties. In the 58th minute, Barkola replaced Kvaratskhelia in the PSG team, while at Chelsea, Andrey Santos replaced the injured Enzo Fernández, and Liam Delap came on for João Pedro. In the 68th minute, Delap had an excellent run, but his shot was stopped by Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Everything became clear when Neves received a red card in the 84th minute, and Paris, with one player less, lost all hope.
The match was also marked by a festive atmosphere in the stands – US President Donald Trump, his wife Melania, FIFA President Gianni Infantino, and his wife Lena Al Ashkar were present at the match.
This is a historic title for Chelsea, who have shown that with young stars like Palmer, they have the potential to dominate international competitions. On the other hand, PSG remains without a trophy, and the fact that they reached the final is little consolation.
