BULGARIA BiH wins first European team bronze medal in shooting in U16 category

(Patria) - At the European 10m Shooting Championship held in Burgas (Bulgaria), the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina achieved historic success by winning the first European team medal for Bosnia and Herzegovina in the U16 category (girls).

After extremely strong qualifications in competition with the best European selections, our team qualified for the medal match where they faced the Russian national team. In a dramatic and extremely uncertain shootout, our girls showed incredible mental strength, composure, and quality, and celebrated winning the team bronze.

This result marks a new page in the history of BiH shooting.

The national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina consisted of:
Ina Gačić – Shooting Club Belgrand from Teslić
Teodora Cvijan – Shooting Club Željezničar- Sarajevo
Larisa Mulahmetović – Shooting Club Željezničar - Sarajevo

This medal is the result of many years of systematic work in clubs, professional work of coaches, and continuous support from families and sports institutions.

"We are especially proud of the fact that this is the youngest category, which clearly confirms that Bosnia and Herzegovina has an extremely talented generation coming up, which can already stand equally with the strongest European national teams. This is not just a medal – it is a confirmation that work, discipline, and faith in young athletes pay off. Bosnia and Herzegovina has a future in shooting," stated the Shooting Federation of BiH.
