Brnabić will no longer be the Prime Minister of Serbia

(Patria) - Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić announced that the current Prime Minister Ana Brnabić will be the candidate for the President of the National Assembly of Serbia.

The decision was made after a meeting of the Presidency of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS).

Therefore, Ana Brnabić will no longer be the Prime Minister of Serbia, nor a member of the Government – Vučić told reporters. He added that “he asked her for something else, but she chose to be the President of the National Assembly of Serbia”.

He noted that they have not yet decided who will be the mandatary for the composition of the new Government of Serbia. He stated that the head of SNS, Miloš Vučević, proposed to wait another 7-10 days before choosing and announcing the name of the mandatary.

It was also decided at the meeting that SNS's candidate for the Mayor of Belgrade in the early elections will be Aleksandar Šapić. Vučić emphasized that the formation of a movement was also discussed, reports Nova.rs.

A movement is not something that is formed for elections, we are not creating it for someone to get one seat more or less in parliament or government. Difficult geopolitical times lie ahead – he concluded.
