British Formula 1 driver David Coulthard arrived in Sarajevo

(Patria) - British Formula 1 driver David Coulthard arrived in Sarajevo today, for the Red Bull Showrun event scheduled for June 9.

Coulthard arrived in the capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina during the day, where he will create a spectacle to remember together with the rest of the Red Bull Racing team.

He is a driver whose F1 career lasted from 1994 to 2008, during which he drove for Williams, McLaren, and Red Bull Racing.

Coulthard made a significant contribution to Red Bull Racing growing into a championship team, and even after ending his career, he remained part of a large and successful family.

Looking at the statistics, David competed in 246 races, achieved 13 wins, 62 podiums, 12 pole positions, 18 fastest laps, and a total of 535 points.

His great passion for Formula 1 continues, so the Briton is often in the cockpit, driving it in various parts of the world.

This time, he will do so in Sarajevo on June 9, when the Red Bull Showrun event takes place. The city of Sarajevo is among the few in the world chosen as a location for this major spectacle.

- This is my first time in Sarajevo, I'm actually very excited to be here because I've heard about the city but haven't been there. The flight was very easy, I left Monaco this morning, then had a short break in Vienna, and now I'm here.

The sun is shining and I look forward to taking off my jacket and putting on my sunglasses, to be a tourist for a bit before we start driving the Formula 1 car.

What people can expect is an opportunity to get close to a Formula 1 car, I think they are always really impressed by the noise, the kind of energy the car possesses.

I've participated in many different tours with Red Bull, it's always fantastic to come to new territories and bring the car to the people instead of the other way around.

This is an opportunity for me to still drive a Grand Prix car, I'm in my fifties and haven't raced in 16 years, but it's still a connection to an incredible racing car.

Ultimately, I am a fan of the sport. I was lucky enough to be a driver, but I still travel to many races with television. I also have several different events that I organize with the running showcar program - Coulthard stated upon arrival in Sarajevo.

He invited the public to come to the Red Bull Showrun and enjoy the spectacle.

- I am really looking forward to this Sunday in Sarajevo, in the city center. We will be driving a Formula 1 car starting at 2 PM - Coulthard announced.

The Red Bull Racing F1 car is already waiting for him, having arrived at the beginning of the week, and the famous Briton will drive it on Sunday in front of thousands of spectators.

Coulthard will once again put on his suit and sit in the cockpit of the RB7 car, one of the most dominant in Formula 1 history.

This car brought Red Bull Racing titles in the drivers' and constructors' championships in 2011, and now, thanks to Red Bull, a large audience in Sarajevo will see it and hear its deafening sound.

David and the RB7 will definitely be the biggest stars of the Red Bull Showrun, but the audience will also be able to watch stunts by Arunas Gibieža on his motorcycle, as well as the performance of the Red Bull Driftbrothers drift duo.

The pieces are slowly falling into place for an unforgettable spectacle, and admission is free. The audience will be able to watch the events on the track set up between Marijin Dvor and the Technical School, i.e., the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, along the fence and from the already sold-out grandstands, so the opportunity for a unique experience should not be missed.

However, those who are not in Sarajevo on June 9 will be able to follow the Red Bull Showrun via TV broadcast on Sport Klub.
