(Patria) - "We kept quiet and worked," wrote Malik Smailbegović from Breza, one of the most famous and loyal fans of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team, the man who proposed to his wife after the historic match between BiH and Argentina.
Ahead of this World Cup, Malik and his friend Redžib Kadrić launched an initiative to paint a mural dedicated to captain Edin Džeko on the wall near the Health Center in Breza, believing this to be his last major national team competition.

The idea came about two months ago and soon grew into a large patriotic project. With the support of Mayor Vedad Jusić, local companies, numerous donors, and volunteers, the mural, covering an area of over 100 square meters, became a reality.
A special role was played by students from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo, Džavid and Tomas, who completed the mural in less than two weeks. Support came from Breza, the diaspora, Krajina, North Macedonia, Vogošća, and even the United States. Students from the "Enver Čolaković" Elementary School in Breza also joined the action.
The mural was finished during the match between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Panama, and Malik called on citizens to send a message of support to the Dragons with joint photos ahead of, as he stated, "the biggest match in more than ten years."
Finally, he thanked all project participants, singling out Nedim Kadrić for his contribution to ensuring the mural was completed on time.
