(Patria) - The Bosnia and Herzegovina sitting volleyball team won a silver medal at the Paralympic Games in Paris. The Iranian selection was too strong an opponent for our team, even though they gave their last ounce of strength on the court.
Bosnia and Herzegovina won the first set, but Iran won the next three. There is no room for disappointment, and this team remains our most decorated. This is the fourth silver medal at the Paralympic Games.
The welcome for the Paralympic team returning with two silver medals will be on Monday, September 9, at the plateau opposite the Vijecnica starting at 3:00 PM. The other silver medal was won by para-swimmer Ismail Barlov.
The players selected by Ifet Mahmutović gave their all to achieve another medal, and their silver shines like gold.
With two gold, four silver, and one bronze medal, they have set a benchmark for future generations.
These are our silver medalists: Ismet Godinjak, Adnan Manko, Stevan Crnobrnja, Armin Šehić, Asim Medić, Mirzet Duran, Nizam Čančar, Dževad Hamzić, Edin Dino, Safet Alibašić, Sabahudin Delalić (captain), and Ermin Jusufović.
The selector is Ifet Mahmutović, and his assistants are Ejub Mehmedović and Nedžad Salkić.
