(Patria) - Velež and Sarajevo played a goalless match in Mostar today, in the derby of the 21st round of the Premier League of BiH.
Although the guests had a player more for the entire second half, the Rođeni managed to defend and it ended without a winner, writes Faktor.ba.
The guests had the first big chance of the match in the 10th minute. Guliashvili passed to Kyeremeh, who went one-on-one with Hadžikić, but the Rođeni goalkeeper saved his attempt.
It was dangerous in front of Velež's goal two minutes later. Gojković pushed Guliashvili forward, who tried to pass to Kyeremeh, but Velež's defense cleared the danger.
The Rođeni threatened for the first time in the 24th minute when Šikalo shot from about twenty meters, but the ball went wide of the left post of Rogić's goal.
Velež had two chances in the 33rd and 34th minutes after mistakes by Sarajevo's defense.
First, Kuprešak made a mistake, being careless. Mlinarić took the ball from him and tried to pass to one of his teammates from an angle on the left, but there was no danger to the Bordo team's goal.
Then Haskić also threatened. After Pidra's cross, Paskalev "dropped" the ball, but the Rođeni captain shot wide from a promising position.
At the end of the first half, Velež was left with one player less. Ologo received a yellow card after illegally stopping Kyeremeh. However, referee Irfan Peljto watched VAR and determined that Velež's center-back had committed a foul worthy of a red card.
In the second half, Guliashvili shot from a free kick, and the ball went wide of the post. In the 59th minute, Sarajevo had a five-on-four counter-attack, but the guests overcomplicated it.
Zekić finally sent a striker onto the field in the 63rd minute. Vasilios Gordeziani got a chance. The Georgian threatened Velež's goal with his very first touch of the ball, but his attempt was blocked.
The Georgian also had a good chance in the 83rd minute, but headed over the goal. Krdžalić, Beganović, and Mustafić also threatened, but there was no change in the score.
In the eighth minute of stoppage time, Velež had a counter-attack for the win, but Đurić received a second yellow card, and thus a red card, for simulation.
In an earlier match, Zrinjski convincingly defeated Igman 3-0 away.
The guests' job was made easier in the 17th minute when the home team was reduced to ten players. Spremo received a red card. The scorers for Zrinjski were Topić in the 69th minute, and Majić in the 82nd and 85th minutes of the match.
