Borac defeated Željezničar and climbed to the top of the table

(Patria) - The derby match of the 16th round of the Wwin league of Bosnia and Herzegovina was played in Banja Luka between Borac and Željezničar.

It was a duel between the second and third-placed teams before this round, and in the end, home team Borac celebrated with a score of 2:1.

Željezničar started the match better and had a good chance in the 1st minute. Cvetanoski passed on the right side, crossed for Rakić who shot poorly from a good position.

However, just a minute later, Borac took the lead. Savić set up Juričić who, with his 12th goal of the season, put the home team ahead.

In the 14th minute, the visitors could have equalized. In one attack, they actually had several chances. First, Cvetanoski passed brilliantly and shot, but Jurkas saved. In the continuation of the action, Pejić and Jaganjac tried, but their shots were blocked.

Hrelja threatened in the 31st minute after a corner, and two minutes later Borac doubled their lead.

The visitors lost the ball in midfield. Grahovac set up Ogrinec, who tried to dribble past Erick. The Brazilian managed to take the ball from him, but unfortunately for him, it reached Jojić, who went one-on-one with Muftić and scored for 2:0.

And just as the end of the first half was expected, specifically in the 44th minute, Cvetanoski passed nicely on the right side and shot from the edge of the penalty area, beating the Borac goalkeeper.

At the start of the second half, the home team threatened through Ogrinec. The Slovenian shot from 16 meters, but Muftić saved.

In the 57th minute, Pejić tried a free-kick from 25 meters, but shot poorly. The ball ended up in the home team's wall.

Four minutes later, Hrelja stole the ball from Erick in midfield and advanced towards Željezničar's goal. He shot from 16 meters, but Muftić was in position.

In the 71st minute, Rogan shot from 16 meters but was not accurate, and in the next attack, the visitors responded through Jaganjac, who also shot from 16 meters, but the ball went over the goal.

Seven minutes later, Herrera shot well from a free-kick, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out for a goal kick, and shortly after, Juričić tried with a header, but was not accurate.

There were no major chances until the end of the match. With these three points, Borac climbed to the top of the table. They now have 34 points and a game more than Zrinjski, while Željezničar is in third place with 22 points.
