(Patria) - The handball national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina learned its rivals tonight in the qualifiers for the 2028 European Championship.

Our national team is placed in Group 5, which also includes Slovenia, the Czech Republic, and Israel.

Group 1:
Croatia, Netherlands, Lithuania, Finland
Group 2: Norway, Austria, Georgia, Turkey
Group 3: Iceland, Serbia, Ukraine, Estonia
Group 4: Hungary, Faroe Islands, Montenegro, Kosovo
Group 5: Slovenia, Czech Republic, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Israel
Group 6: France, Poland, Romania, Latvia
Group 7: Germany, Italy, Belgium, Slovakia
Group 8: Sweden, North Macedonia, Greece, Luxembourg

The top two teams from each of the eight groups, as well as the four best third-placed teams, will qualify for EHF Euro 2028.

The qualifiers begin in November this year, with further matches in March and May 2027.

The 2028 European Championship will take place from January 13 to 30, and four participants of the final tournament are already known - the current champion Denmark and the three hosts Spain, Portugal, and Switzerland.

The championship will be played in Madrid, in the Movistar Arena and at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium, Valencia, in the Roig Arena and Arena Pavvello Municipal Font de Sant Lluis, and in Lisbon (MEO Arena) and Zurich (Swiss Life Arena).
