(Patria) - The House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly (PA) of BiH, at today's emergency session, adopted the Bill on the Budget of Institutions and International Obligations of BiH for 2025 under an urgent procedure.
Out of 14 delegates present, 10 voted "for", with no votes against and four abstentions.
Voting results
The budget for 2025, amounting to 1.5 billion KM, was adopted by the House of Representatives of the PA BiH three days ago.
Compared to the previous proposal, the adopted budget differs in that it does not provide for an increase in funds for the Armed Forces of BiH, financing of cultural institutions of state importance, nor funds for financing BHRT.
The document includes allocations for the Central Election Commission (CEC) of BiH, intended for the procurement of new technologies for conducting elections, and 1,000 KM each for employees in state institutions.
The Presidency of BiH unanimously supported this Draft Budget on November 11, after which it was sent into parliamentary procedure.
According to legal deadlines, the budget should have been proposed in October last year and entered into force on January 1, but due to months-long political blockades, temporary financing has been in effect for 11 months.
Funds are currently being spent in accordance with the 2024 budget, exclusively on current expenses such as salaries, while new projects are blocked.
