Bosnia and Herzegovina to Host 2029 European Sitting Volleyball Championship

(Patria) - The Bosnia and Herzegovina sitting volleyball team has returned to BiH after winning its 12th European Championship title. At today's press conference, captain Sabahudin Delalić revealed that BiH will host the 2029 European Championship.

Delalić stated at today's media conference that BiH will once again host the championship of the best national teams of the Old Continent, 30 years after the European Championship held in Sarajevo.

"This is a prelude to the World Championship in China next year, where we will try to bring the gold back to our homeland and secure a place at the Paralympic Games in Los Angeles," said Delalić.

Let us recall that the BiH national team, under the leadership of coach Ifet Mahmutović, won its 12th European champion title at the European Championship.

Coach Mahmutović said that sitting volleyball has reached its peak at the world and European levels.

"The quality of the national teams is at the highest level. It gets harder for us every year, but we show that we are one of the best national teams in the world. We had unexpectedly many difficulties in Hungary. The captain had health problems at the start, but he returned when it was most needed. He is the coach's right and left hand. The analysis was done fantastically. We had support from our experts from Zagreb. The result is a gold medal, the 12th in a row," emphasized Mahmutović.

Today, there was also talk about the issue with finances, and if nothing changes, the upcoming preparations and the trip to China are questionable.

In honor of Dževad Šabeta, the team manager of BiH who passed away this year, Paravolley made a special flag before the final, which will be taken from our camp to Šabeta's manager. The new team manager of the BiH sitting volleyball team is Dino Šečić.
