
(Patria) - In January 2026, exports from Bosnia and Herzegovina amounted to 1.089 billion KM, which is 11.5 percent less compared to January 2025.
At the same time, imports amounted to 1.769 billion KM, which represents a decrease of 15.6 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, writes Biznisinfo.
The coverage of imports by exports was 61.6 percent, while the foreign trade deficit in goods reached 680 million KM during this period.
Exports to CEFTA countries in January of this year amounted to 175 million KM, which is 20.4 percent less than in January 2025.
Imports from these countries amounted to 211 million KM and are 14.8 percent lower compared to the same period last year.
The coverage of imports by exports in trade with CEFTA was 83.2 percent.
Exports to European Union countries amounted to 829 million KM, which is 10.2 percent less than in January of last year.
Imports from the EU simultaneously amounted to 997 million KM, with a decrease of 16.1 percent compared to January 2025.
The coverage of imports by exports in trade with the EU was 83.1 percent.
