Bosnian fans in St. Louis dedicate banner to Edin Avdić: 'Legends never die'

(Patria) - Bosnia and Herzegovina fans last night in St. Louis dedicated a banner to the recently deceased basketball commentator Edin Avdić.

"Legends never die. Edin Avdić," read the banner that Bosnian fans unfurled at the "Energizer Park" stadium during the friendly match between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Panama (1:1).

At yesterday's commemoration in Belgrade, family members, friends, colleagues and numerous figures from the world of sports bid farewell to one of the most respected sports journalists and commentators in the region.

The funeral and burial of Edin Avdić will take place tomorrow at the Bare City Cemetery in Sarajevo starting at 2:30 PM. Earlier, at 11:00 AM, a commemoration will be held at the National Theatre Sarajevo.

For those who wish, a book of condolences will be available for signing over the next two days in the lobby of the Sarajevo City Hall, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
