Goalless at Koševo: Sarajevo has reasons to regret, the decision on who advances to the third qualifying round will be made in Trnava

(Patria) - Football Club Sarajevo played a goalless draw against Spartak Trnava at Koševo tonight in the first leg of the second qualifying round of the Conference League.

Although they were the significantly better team on the field, the maroon team unfortunately failed to find the back of the net against the Slovakian team.

Sarajevo's players dominated in the cauldron of Koševo, in front of nearly 30,000 people, creating chances, missing the impossible. However, the ball simply wouldn't go into the net, writes Faktor.ba.

The guests threatened first in the 6th minute when Milković headed the ball wide.

Immediately in the next attack, it was dangerous in front of the Slovakian goal. Kyeremeh was looking for an opportunity and got the ball after a mistake by the visiting team's defense. He beat the goalkeeper and shot from an angle on the right side, but a visiting player cleared the ball off the line.

In the 22nd minute, the home team threatened again. Kyeremeh broke down the right flank and tried to set up Čataković, who, however, did not handle the ball well. The ball eventually came to Guliashvili, the Georgian aimed for the far corner, but Spartak's goalkeeper made a brilliant save.

Two minutes later, two more great chances for the maroon team. Kyeremeh tried to capitalize on goalkeeper Frelih's mistake but hit the post. Čataković pounced on the rebound and shot powerfully, but Koša blocked it on the goal line, and it remained 0:0.

The guests then relieved the pressure. In the 35th minute, Prochazka threatened, but shot wide.

And then another golden opportunity for Sarajevo. Spartak's defense made another mistake, Kyeremeh headed the ball to Guliashvili, who was face-to-face with Frelih from 7-8 meters, but Spartak's goalkeeper saved his shot.

Sarajevo continued to dominate in the second half, creating chances, but the ball simply wouldn't go into the net. Kyeremeh, Guliashvili, Oliveira... tried, but there was no change in the score.

The decision on who advances to the third qualifying round will be made next week in the second leg in Trnava.
