Bećiragić announces extended squad of basketball Dragons ahead of decisive matches against Cyprus and France

(Patria) - Head coach of the Bosnia and Herzegovina men's national team, Adis Bećiragić, has announced an extended list of players for the two final and decisive EuroBasket 2025 qualifiers against Cyprus and France.

The list includes the following players: Xavier Castaneda (Bourg, France), Kosta Kondić (Mega, Serbia), Sani Čampara (Sloboda Tuzla), Edin Atić (Breogan, Spain), Džanan Musa (Real Madrid, Spain), Aleksandar Lazić (Hangzhou, China), Adin Vrabac (Bosna Visit Sarajevo), Haris Delalić (Bosna Visit Sarajevo), Amar Alibegović (Trapani, Italy), Ajdin Penava (Slask Wroclaw, Poland), Fahrudin Manjgafić (Czarni Slupsk, Poland), Kenan Kamenjaš (Budućnost Voli, Montenegro), Miralem Halilović (Dinamo Sassari, Italy), Ismet Sejfić (Sloboda Tuzla), Adnan Arslanagić (Orlovik), Vojin Ilić (Igokea m:tel), Asim Gutić (Bosna Visit Sarajevo), Ibrahim Durmo (Universitas Pecs, Hungary), Harun Zrno (Slavija 1966), Nikola Marić (Igokea m:tel), Njegoš Sikiraš (Okapi Aalst, Belgium), Markus Lončar (CS Antonine, Lebanon), Obrad Tomić (Akademik Plovdiv, Bulgaria) and Emir Ahmedović (Castings Škofja Loka, Slovenia).

Regarding Xavier Castaneda, it is expected that the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina will approve his request for obtaining BiH citizenship.

After that, the procedure before the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) follows, for which the Basketball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has already prepared all other necessary documentation. In case of a positive outcome, Castaneda will have the opportunity to play for the Dragons.

The national team gathering is scheduled for February 17 in Tuzla.

The BiH national team will host Cyprus in Mejdan on February 21, and three days later they will visit France in Orleans.
