(Patria) - The Bosnia and Herzegovina "A" national team is expected to participate in the play-offs for qualification for the 2026 World Cup at the end of this month.
The Dragons will visit Wales in Cardiff on March 26th in the play-off semi-final, and on March 31st, they will host Italy or Northern Ireland at "Bilino Polje" in Zenica.
Coach Sergej Barbarez has selected 25 players for the upcoming matches, and the complete list can be viewed in the image below.
- A very important gathering awaits us, and an opportunity to achieve great success. I believe in this team and in what we are doing, and I hope we will play the play-off final in front of our audience on March 31st.
The list includes players we believe can meet the demands of such important matches. Compared to previous gatherings, there are two new players - Nidal Čelik and Jovo Lukić. They have recently drawn attention with their performances and form.
We know that a difficult match against Wales awaits us in Cardiff, but our goal is to play bravely and proudly and try to achieve a positive result that would bring us one step closer to qualifying for the World Cup. I believe this national team has the quality for great things - said Barbarez.
Barbarez will hold a press conference on March 23rd at 11:00 AM at the premises of the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo.
