Barbarez announced the list of players for the World Cup

(Patria) - The coach of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team, Sergej Barbarez, has announced the list of players he is counting on for the World Cup appearance.

He said he wants these emotions to last forever and that he is proud of everyone.

Emir Spahić spoke about a new name on the list - Ermin Mahmić.

"We knew it would be difficult and demanding, but his desire pushed us day by day. Thank God it ended positively," said Spahić.

Barbarez said he is very happy for Mahmić.

"I was in Pilsen and watched the match. He is a happy and proud child to be with us. A type of player who is very penetrating, technically strong at a high level. We want such players so that we have good players in the next 10 years," emphasized Barbarez.

The list includes:

Goalkeepers: Nikola Vasilj, Martin Zlomislić, Osman Hadžikić.

Defense: Amar Dedić, Nikola Katić, Dennis Hadžikadunić, Nidal Čelik, Stjepan Radeljić, Nihad Mujakić, Tarik Muharemović, Sead Kolašinac.

Midfield: Benjamin Tahirović, Amir Hadžiahmetović, Ivan Šunjić, Dženis Burnić, Armin Gigović, Ermin Mahmić, Ivan Bašić, Amar Memić, Kerim Alajbegović, Esmir Bajraktarević.

Bosnia and Herzegovina will play in a group with Canada, Switzerland, and Qatar at the World Cup, and the Dragons will play their first match against Canada in Toronto on June 12.

Public expectations are huge, but the atmosphere around the national team has not been more positive for a long time. After the playoffs and great victories that revived the national team's spirit, Barbarez and his chosen ones now have the task of representing Bosnia and Herzegovina in the best possible way.
