ASA Hospital Opens Its Doors to Patients on April 6th

(Patria) - ASA Medical, as part of ASA Group, proudly announces the opening of ASA Hospital on April 6th this year. The first private General Hospital represents an important step in improving healthcare in Bosnia and Herzegovina and is an indicator of the founders' commitment to investing in the prosperity and development of BiH society. Driven by the idea that BiH has people with skills, knowledge, and intelligence, the founders launched the Hastor Foundation more than 18 years ago, with the aim of providing more opportunities for young people - Bosnians and Herzegovinians, and ASA Hospital represents a further step in realizing this mission.

ASA Hospital will have 180 hospital beds on seven floors, 10 operating rooms, 12 specialist departments, and numerous units and outpatient clinics, and patients will have almost all medical services available – from modern radiological diagnostics, laboratory, emergency care, childbirth, to routine and complex surgical procedures.

Within ASA Hospital, the ASA Institute has been established, a center for research, development, and innovation with the main goal of presenting their expert medical work in broader scientific circles and connecting with leading medical and other institutes worldwide through research and scientific projects.

One such project is the strategic partnership with the International Medical University in Vienna and the Vienna General Hospital (AKH), which provides access to the latest scientific achievements and the development of joint scientific research projects, as discussed by Prof. Dr. Roland Fasol, International Medical Director of ASA Hospital.

The Medical Director of ASA Hospital and Head of the Gynecology Department, Assoc. Dr. Azur Tulumović, presented the departments and services. ASA Hospital will offer services in the fields of General and Abdominal Surgery, Otorhinolaryngology, Internal Medicine with Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Cardiology and Endocrinology, Gynecology and Obstetrics with IVF, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Radiology, Urology, Emergency Care, and many other outpatient clinics such as Ophthalmology, Rheumatology, Physiatry, and Dermatology. The hospital also includes support departments such as the Radiology Department, Central Laboratory, Pathohistology Department, and Transfusion Medicine Unit.

Starting April 6th, ASA Hospital will receive patients for all types of outpatient or polyclinic (consultative specialist) services, with working hours every weekday from 08:00 to 20:00, by prior appointment.
