Argentine to officiate Bosnia and Herzegovina vs Canada match

(Patria) - The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has appointed referees for the first match of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team at the upcoming World Cup.

Argentine Facundo Tello will officiate the Dragons' match against hosts Canada on June 12 in Toronto (9 PM local time) in the first round of Group B.

Tello (44) is known for the chaotic Argentine Champions Trophy final in November 2022 between Boca Juniors and Racing Club.

At that time, he showed as many as ten red cards, seven to Boca and three to Racing Club.

After the clash against Canada, the Dragons travel to the United States of America where they will play the remaining two Group B matches - against Switzerland in Inglewood, California (June 18) and Qatar in Seattle (June 24).

Advancement to the second phase of the World Cup will be secured by the top two teams from each of the 12 groups and the eight best third-placed teams.
