(Patria) - Bosnia and Herzegovina international, Amar Dedić, was officially presented tonight as the new player of Lisbon's Benfica.
Dedić played for Marseille on loan in the second half of last season, but the French club decided not to extend his contract.
Therefore, the BiH footballer returned to Red Bull Salzburg, but it was clear he would not stay there for too long.
Benfica showed great interest in Dedić and managed to finalize the deal and officialize the arrival of the BiH international just half an hour after selling Alvaro Carreras to Real Madrid.
Benfica confirmed that Dedić is a new player of this club and that he will join the team in pre-season preparations for the new season.
Dedić successfully passed medical examinations and signed a five-year contract with Benfica.
Also, information emerged that Salzburg will receive almost 12 million euros for Dedić, which is far more than they hoped for.
Salzburg also confirmed Dedić's departure, wishing the BiH international good luck at his new club.
