Ada Avdagić wins gold at Croatia Open in Zagreb

(Patria) - Taekwondo representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina Ada Avdagić continues with excellent results.

A member of TKD Sarajevo, who recently defended the colors of our homeland at the World Championship in Chinese Wuxi, won a gold medal at the Croatia Open which concluded yesterday in Zagreb.

At this strong G-1 tournament, which featured 635 competitors from 40 countries, Ada triumphed in the category up to 53 kilograms.

After being free in the first round as the top seed of the tournament, she reached the gold by defeating opponents from Canada, Greece, and Croatia.

Ada Avdagić's gold medal gains additional weight because she achieved it without losing a single round – she won all three fights with a score of 2:0.

This result by our taekwondo athlete, who is still eligible to compete in the U-21 category, comes at the right time before her participation in the World U-21 Championship in Kenya, and then at the European U-21 Championship which will be hosted by Kosovo.
