(Patria) - In Podgorica's Mitra Bakić Street, a mural of solidarity with Palestine by artist Mišo Joskić was ceremoniously unveiled, reports Pobjeda.me.
With the help of volunteers and members of the "Movement of Solidarity with Palestine", Joskić began creating the mural in Mitra Bakić Street, near the bus station, in mid-July, which was officially unveiled last night.
Citizens of Montenegro have repeatedly expressed sympathy with the Palestinian people since the beginning of Israel's aggression against Palestine and have held several protests of support in the capital, as well as in other cities.
This time, that support is permanent and is reflected in the mural created by Joskić.
The symbolism of the mural is reflected in the innocent smile of children, which implies their innocent role in the conflict between the Palestinian group Hamas and the state of Israel.
Another meaning is evident in the slice of watermelon, which represents the symbol of the Palestinian people's resistance, and this fruit contains all the colors of the Palestinian flag.
