In Montenegro, August 14th is a Day of Mourning due to the death of soldier Dejan Božović

(Patria) - The Government of Montenegro decided at a telephone session to declare August 14th a Day of Mourning due to the death of soldier Dejan Božović, who died today in a tanker rollover while providing assistance in extinguishing a fire, Portal RTCG has learned.

Junior Sergeant Dejan Božović (42) from Danilovgrad died, and Sergeant Marko Iković (43) suffered serious injuries while engaged in extinguishing a fire in the Kuči region.

(Patria) - A member of the Army of Montenegro (41) died when a military water tanker overturned in the Kuči region. Another soldier was seriously injured, it has been confirmed

Božović was a member of the 1st Infantry Battalion, married and a father of four children. He had been serving in the army since 2006 and held the position of gunner on a 120mm mortar.



The highest state officials of Montenegro have expressed their condolences on his death.
