Juniors of Sloboda win BiH Cup

(Patria) - In the final match of the Youth Cup of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the 2023/24 season, the juniors of Sloboda Tuzla defeated Sarajevo 3:2 on penalties today at the NS/FS BiH Training Center in Zenica.

The first half was characterized by open play from both sides, but without major scoring opportunities. The second half brought no significant changes, and the nets remained empty until the end of the match, leading to a penalty shootout.

The juniors of Sloboda performed better and won with a score of 3:2.

Ajdin Beganović, Petar Đukanović, and Ensar Mešić scored for Tuzla from the "white spot", while Jakub Vilakić was not accurate.

For Sarajevo, Nidal Čelik and Seid Pramenković were accurate, while Harun Pločo and Sergej Ignatkov failed to beat goalkeeper Muhamed Smajić.

Sloboda thus secured the trophy after defeating all opponents in penalty shootouts: Široki Brijeg in the quarterfinals, Borac in the semifinals, and today Sarajevo.

After the match, the trophy and medals were presented to the players by General Secretary Adnan Džemidžić and Vice-President of the Competition Committee Dušan Marković.
