I don't want to pretend that I support the failed concept called Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik said to AFP.
However, he added that he was 'ready to work to ensure sustainability of BiH as determined by the Constitution'.
- Today, Bosnia and Herzegovina is the place nobody wants but few idealists in Sarajevo who want to save it, yet nobody has any use of it, Dodik said.
He emphasized that, unless the consensus is reached among Bosniaks, Serbs and Croats, 'BiH will cease to exist'.
Regarding the recent referendum and the subpoena he received for it from Sarajevo, Dodik said 'he would gladly make a statement by video link or on the territory of Republika Srpska' but that he will not travel to the locations that he considers 'illegitimate'.
- My roads do not lead to Sarajevo. I am the target of 'Sarajevo Muslims' and their politics. I don't feel any connection with Sarajevo and with them, he said.
According to AFP, empowered by the recent victory of his party at the municipal elections, Dodik has revived the possibility of organizing referendum on the independence of the RS.
- I'm thinking about it, a lot, Dodik said and added that a mere mention of such an option may be used against him at the court because, as he said, 'in Bosnia and Herzegovina, we don't have a right to think'.
- If you think, they automatically consider you the biggest enemy, bigger than those from the Islamic State walking around here freely, President of the RS said, referring to 330 citizens of BiH who went to Syria to join the ISIS, AFP reports.
Dodik concluded that there are two possible scenarios for the future of BiH.
- Either we build Bosnia based on respect of all citizens or it will no longer exist. When will that happen? I don't know, Dodik said.
He also condemned the West for 'accelerating the process of disappearance' of Bosnia by imposing its will and sending 'third class ambassadors'.
- They come here to train before going to another position. I refuse to be their guinea pig, President of RS underlined.
