President of 'Nasa stranka', Predrag Kojovic, commented on the conclusions of the Croatian National Assembly, condemning their continued spreading ideas about territorial division of BiH by the principle of ethnic domination.
- Those are retrograde, already seen ideas that are in contradiction to the European principles. Advocating for BiH in EU means advocating for European principles that stem from a premise that all citizens are equal in the eyes of state, something which their proposals based on ambitions for ethnic domination aim to deny. That, certainly, is not the principle of territorial structure Nasa Stranka would ever support, Kojovic said.
President of Nasa Stranka added that 'those archaic ideas, which have been promoted for many years by HDZ hiding behind HNS and the Croatian people, are particularly counterproductive as they create tension, reminiscent of the times when war criminals Prlic and Kordic attempted to materialize them by means of war, crimes and concentration camps, and now they are trying to shift their own moral and political guilt, acknowledged by Europe and the world, to the entire Croatian people'.
- Of course, the nationalists are incapable of finding solutions for economic and social problems so they use the old 'recipe' of offering nationalistic fantasies – when you already own a hammer, every problem looks like a nail. We need to do everything possible so that all citizens of BiH are equal by constitution, but also for them to have a genuine feeling of equality in everyday life. That's why it is necessary to open up a dialogue instead of re-trying recipes that are proven wrong, Kojovic said.
- With that in mind, most important thing to do is to send a clear message that, under no circumstances we may give in to nationalistic and, from the point of view of European values, unacceptable pursuits of HDZ. At the same time, all of us who live here and who see our country as the only homeland, are responsible to invest maximum effort to gain trust of those citizens whose political will has been monopolized through the work of HNS. That is the only way for us, the citizens of BiH, and members of various ethnic groups who live in BiH, to strengthen the political concept which does not exclude the idea of state BiH and which equally meets the interests of all peoples and citizens, Kojovic concluded.
