The Head of the Delegation of the European Union to BiH, Lars-Gunnar Wigemark, after a meeting with the prime minister of the RS, Zeljka Cvijanovic, said that the European Union could not accept the explanation that the blockade of the access of BiH to the Transportation community is due to the elections 2018.
- There is a long time till the elections, Wigemark said in Banja Luka after his meeting with the RS prime minister.
Cvijanovic is right. There is a danger in accepting any idea deemed good for BiH, even if there are still 16 months until the elections. Her party boss wins the elections on the account of his incessant rhetoric about division of BiH and secessionism. He wins power by means of referendums and such. That's why the RS is the worst and the most miserable part of Europe, even more miserable than Federation.
Lars-Gunnar Wigemark was the first to figure out the key problem of this country. The elections that never cease. This is the country of an eternal election process.
Had pre-election campaign, as is the case in civilized countries, lasted only two months before the election days, somebody would have remembered to ask the politicians what they have achieved in the meanwhile.
On the contrary, during those 4 years in between the elections, they argue, fight, celebrate their nation, they protect them from 'endangering', request changing laws, press charges against each others at courts for anniversaries.
Whatever our politicians do is for sake of elections. The moment they get elected, a new campaign begins for the next elections. Some make statements, others criticize them for those statements. As soon as a new government is established, its dismantling will have begun. The main pre-election matches of several years are public conflicts within the government. The political parties in the government act like an opposition and criticize the power and their partners in power. In this country, elections never end.
The voters are never offered any work plans or programs. Apart from cheap and empty promises, which are like spitting against the wind, there is no system which would allow to follow the achievements. That's why they do nothing. Everything they do is without plan, reason and any sense. Everything but getting into conflicts with everybody so that their electoral body could be pulled in by common polarization into sides.
All in all, the dialogue of spitting continues in this political brothel.
The story about first 100 days in power seems almost ridiculous on any level in this country. That has not happened in a long time. According to everything we have seen so far, we could only talk about the 'last 100 days in power'. 3 months before the elections, streets are dug out, sidewalks leveled, visible infrastructure unit rebuilt or fixed, hundreds of thousands of new jobs promised, future factories opened, red ribbons cut.
There is a local saying that Bosnians select shoes with more sense and reason than their politicians.
Why do they (politicians) need 'European roads' after all?! They drive super modern cards with top suspenders. They can't feel even a half-meter road bump. They have lost touch with reality. You can't see them in person – only on TV when they hold boring monologues and make silly statements. Yet, everything about them is modern and European. Expensive suits and ties. They have been in Europe for a long time, while we feel in prison. When they end up in prison, we shall be in Europe.
