Why the Croat (and Serb) politicians claim in unison that The Hague is a political court? What is the logic behind this statement? It sounds as if The Hague has a problem with Croatia and Serbia? It sounds as if The Hague is a very biased court loyal to Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is a UN court. It is a court in which the biggest legal experts have worked.
If it is the political court, could it be in some political relationship of dependency with political structures in Sarajevo? Maybe it is in a relationship with Bosniak politicians? What kind of relationship can there be between The Hague Tribunal and Bosniaks who are biggest victims of the crimes of the nineties?
What about the victims of terrible suffering and starvation which lasted several years among a million and a half people stuck in the territories under siege? The towns in ruins, destroyed by the goals of greatstate politics. The verdict only proved that the concentration camps of HVO (Croatian Defense Council) Dretelj, Heliodrom, Gabela, as well as those in Prozor, Rumboci and Stolac are political creations.
Bozo Ljubic, the delegate at the Parliament of Croatia, was one of those who labelled the Hague Tribunal 'a political creation'. By doing so, Ljubic named the Tribunal's judges and prosecutors a common political arrangement. According to Ljubic, the 15 of the world's most respectable lawyers only play a political performance at the International Court of Justice.
Why would the Tribunal need the punishment for Croatia after all? Probably for the same reasons as for Serbia. Because they are guilty of bringing tragedy to the peoples in Bosnia and Herzegovina. When Bozo Ljubic creates a construction by which The Hague verdict is the outcome of conspiracy by some EU countries and the NATO against Croatia, we have a full-blown paranoia.
When HDZ BiH leader Dragan Covic says that the verdict will not contribute to reconciliation, when he denies the verdict, isn't that the cheap politics? When he says that 'the verdict is criminal towards the Croat people, and is a violation of the history, isn't that the most common political exhibitionism? When Covic says that the qualification 'joint criminal enterprise' can't be accepted, he says that as a politician and at his own loss.
Covic claims that survival of BiH depends on the status of Croats as the smallest BH constituent. If survival of BiH indeed depends on the status of Croats, than their situation is rather agreeable. Their status is secured by an exceptional constitutional and legislative protection of national interests. If anyone respects the rights of collectivity, that is the Constitution of BiH.
Both Serbia and Croatia have to stop this negative approach to the Tribunal verdicts. That is a cruel and useless politics against the truth about the crimes and criminals. The verdicts of the Tribunal are the supreme truth which cannot be harmed by political statements and slandering.
It is the high time for Serbia and Croatia to ask themselves what was really happening in Bosnia and Herzegovina from 1992 through 1995. It is hard to believe that the whole world knows better what was happening here than those who were sending their armies here, or better say, somebody else's children, to die for criminal greatstate projects.
