'Today I will speak of Republika Srpska aside from everything else, for the sake of truth and the position of 5% of Serb millionaires and 95% of the Serbs who live in poverty, and I would like to ask Bosniaks and Croats to refrain from making comments on national grounds, because this is a pure ‘Serb post’, a post of ‘Serb reality, stated Vojin Mijatović, vice president of the SDP.
Republika Srpska is one of the two entities within BiH that was legally formed on the day of the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement, when it received international recognition as an entity within the internationally recognized state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Until then, the Republika Srpska did not have a status in international law, while the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina was a member of the United Nations.
This is a legal historical fact and the only truth, you just have to read everything, regardless of the fact that the Republika Srpska existed then as a form of self-organization, first as the Republic of Serb people in BiH, and only afterwards as the Republika Srpska, but without international recognition.
As the war in BiH began, we got the first Serb millionaires, mostly people who were on the lowest rungs of society before the war, but I guess more ready for war than the intelligentsia that fled around the world; this group of the worst among us on smuggling oil, cigars, flour, alcohol, weapons and territory became millionaires.
The same masters of life and death became powerful people and the elite under the Serb flag and thanks to the stolen family wealth of Bosniaks and Croats, while the poor were dying under the same flag for their millions. After the war, those same, the worst among us became ‘businessmen’ and ‘politicians’. Soon came the transition and privatization, so these same Serb millionaires, through privatization, plundered what little was left of the Serb poor that was not destroyed and stolen in the war.
As the post-war years went by, the Serb millionaires became richer, and the poor Serbs became poorer and more servile. In such an atmosphere, 600.000 poor Serbs left the Republika Srpska in the last 15 years, and Serb millionaires are only getting stronger by buying their land and space in society.
Tomorrow, Serb millionaires are celebrating 30 years of their power, 30 years of robbery and crime, 30 years of their position in a society they would never have had if there had been no war in BiH.
Tomorrow is 30 years of our Serb ruination, isolation from civilization and the world, tomorrow is 30 years since we have been led by the worst of us. Just as the poor were dying for criminals in the war, so tomorrow the poor will applaud criminals and all that under the Serb flag. There are no Bosniaks or Croats in this post, and I will let anyone prove me wrong with the facts that this is not the reality of our ruination!’ Mijatović concluded.
